Champlain's Dream

In keeping with my personal tradition, I have purchased a history book for my Dad this Christmas. This year I bought him Champlain's Dream, the latest book from David Hackett Fischer.

Anything that falls onto Fischer's keyboard is worth buying, sight unseen. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the Pulitzer-Prize winning Washington's Crossing by Fischer about two years ago, and I've been dying to read Paul Revere's Ride and Albion's Seed, both of which I've read in spinnets while browsing the stacks at the Barnes and Noble store around the corner.
