Afghanistan

I talked to my sister Beth today. Her husband Jeff just left this week for a brief tour of duty in Afghanistan. His return date is currently April 16.

As she told me today, Jeff has taken to calling Afghanistan as "Fat Camp". While there, and when he's not flying on air patrol, he spends his days working out and reading-- not much to do there, especially this time of year, which can be brutally cold.

I hope his time there is quick and uneventful.
