Unfortunately for him, the marathon was cancelled on account of snow. Fortunately, for the rest of us, we spent the weekend at a house on the beach, watching the winter Olympics, reading books and mixing drinks. Nothing quite as relaxing as that.

Nothing like snow at the beach
My wife and I spent last weekend with friends in Sunset Beach, just north of Myrtle Beach. We had intended to cheer a friend who was running the Myrtle Beach marathon.
Unfortunately for him, the marathon was cancelled on account of snow. Fortunately, for the rest of us, we spent the weekend at a house on the beach, watching the winter Olympics, reading books and mixing drinks. Nothing quite as relaxing as that.
