Winter Weekend

Spent a wonderful weekend at a friend's cabin near Lake James. Six friends from PRBC were there, to share some good conversation (got heated a few times), and do some skiing at nearby Sugar Mountain. The snow at Sugar this year was awesome. The crowds were present but the lift waits weren't too bad.

I also spent some time Sunday reading David McCullough's book, 1776. I have meant to read this book for a while, so it was a pleasure to finally do so.

Several characters who rate highly in my mind, who I had not appreciated before, from McCullough's book:

Nathaniel Greene
Henry Knox

I hope to read more histories about both of these Revolutionary leaders in the coming months.

Back at work now. The start of another week.
