From yesterday's podcast of the Tim Ferriss Show, I was introduced to Kelly Sarrett, the founder of the San Francisco Crossfit chapter and a popular physical therapist and training coach. In Starrett's opinion, the vast majority of people, even elite athletes, do not know about proper body motion and mechanics when exercising. Most people have never been taught the proper way to run, or throw a ball, or lift a dumbbell over their head. Too many people who take up regular exercise eventually injure themselves as a result, often without really knowing why. Fascinating podcast.
