Free Enterprise Leadership Challenge

From this morning's Charlotte SouthPark Rotary Club breakfast, I learned about the Free Enterprise Leadership Challenge. This weeklong summer camp teaches high school students about the challenges, opportunities and benefits of a free market society. Teams of students work all week on a real business plan, and must craft product and sales strategies to best serve their customers. Teams are graded on profitability, measured in real dollars. At the end of the week, student teams can choose to keep their project profits, or donate them to Kiva.org. Nearly all usually donate their profits. A fantastic program for rising sophomores, juniors and seniors. Highly recommended.
