Cool story (for me) on Bloomberg this AM. The Navy has awarded Northrop Grumman a new contract to upgrade its AN/SLQ-32 system on all surface ships. Introduced in 1974, this electronic warfare detection and jamming system has been an increasingly important component of missile defense. My first job in the Navy back in the day was as the Electronic Warfare Officer aboard my ship. The sailors in my division were all trained on the AN/SLQ-32 system.
